Baby Boomers: where should we retire?

Virginia is a phenomenal place to live, work and raise children. For those contemplating retirement during the upcoming “Boomer Retirement Wave”, Virginia is likewise an incredible place to retire. But would you know this? Does Virginia or particular areas within meet your retirement profile, and those of other Boomers?

I can help match your retirement planning profile to the answers Virginia has to offer. Do you like to drive a lot, or prefer a more walking-oriented lifestyle? Are you concerned that rapid community growth will eat up your fixed income in rising property taxes and fees? Would you like to stay involved with your children’s college, though they’ve moved on? Do you need to be near the intersection of major national transportation corridors or mass transit hubs? Are you looking to invest in some of our rapidly-disappearing land, on which to build a retirement home down the road a bit? Are you part of the “sandwich-generation”, and need to be co-located between your parents and children?

These are some of the questions I’ve addressed from this special group of the near-to-retirement segment of the population, which includes my own neighbors and relatives. The Baby Boomers certainly have similar concerns as everyone else, but there’s a set of very special profile attributes they bring to the table that requires very special attention and insight to fulfill.

Contact me for help in creating your retirement location profile, which I will then match against Virginia’s offerings – resulting in a very targeted set of retirement location and housing style options to further explore. IngridMyers.com is your Baby Boomer Retirement specialist in Virginia!
